Just three days ago, Blizzard Entertainment brought good news to Diablo III fans in the form of the launch of the closed beta for the action role-playing game. Now, the California-based developer has some less-than-wonderful information to share: Diablo III will not ship in 2011, as had been previously suggested.

Activision Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime explained that the studio was "hopeful" that the game would ship in 2011, but ultimately that launch window became impossible to meet. "This week we pulled together people from all of the teams involved with the game to decide whether we felt it would be ready before the end of December, and we grudgingly came to the conclusion that it would not," he explained.

According to Morhaime, the extra time will afford Blizzard the opportunity to "further polish to a few different elements of the game" and open the beta to more users than was originally planned. Gamers interested in opting in to the beta for Diablo III can visit Battle.net to express their interest in taking part.

For Diablo III, we were aiming to launch by the end of 2011. As we’re announcing globally today, our new target for the game is early 2012.

While this news might not be a complete surprise, I know that many of you were hopeful that Diablo III would ship this year. We were too. However, this week we pulled together people from all of the teams involved with the game to decide whether we felt it would be ready before the end of December, and we grudgingly came to the conclusion that it would not. Ultimately, we feel that to deliver an awesome Diablo sequel that lives up to our expectations and yours as well, we should take a little more time and add further polish to a few different elements of the game.

The upside of today’s announcement is that we will be running the beta test longer than we initially planned, which will allow us to invite more of you who have opted in.

For those taking on the Diableard challenge, we salute you -- and now fear for your well-being and personal hygiene. We hereby issue an official reprieve to all Diableard participants, including Blizzard employees, if you want to trim or otherwise manage the lower half of your face. We’d still love to see your beardly achievements, and we look forward to seeing more of your efforts as we move into 2012, but not to the detriment of your workplaces and significant others.

Eh, kad bi znali da ne mogu da igram jer moram da idem za pola sata, a poslepodne mi je ispunjeno obavezama, mržnja bi počela da buja

Al' dobro, ide vikend, sad će to... brzo... joj

Šta ćeš da igraš ??? Da jurcas po praznom gradu, bez beta ključa ništa.
Ovo mi izgleda isto skriptovano kao wow... znaci jos jedan wow ,ali sad diablo verzija, totalno ništa bez internet konekcije.

Cestitke na dobijenom kljucu!!!

Grafika je, rekao bih, Blizzardolika. Jednostavno ljudi žele da im igre izgledaju kao igre, a da što veći broj ljudi može da ih pokrene. Meni klizi u 1680x1050, na mašini staroj nekoliko godina... Nažalost, prešao sam betu do kraja (pobedio skeleton kinga) za nešto manje od 2 sata u prvom pokušaju - igrao sam veoma temeljno i sporo, čačkao svaku mečku, zavirio u svaki žbun, znate već... Onda sam uzeo da igram drugi put kao neki speed-run da bih snimio kako igram, i tek onda video da može da se pređe i za sat vremena kad se zna kuda treba ići i šta raditi... al' da je dobra, odlična je.

Igra ce da sabija, kao i sve Blizz igre, ali me malo nervira sto sve opet ide preko Battle net servisa.
