EA reveal some tidbits of information regarding the latest release in the FIFA series, FIFA 08.
Electronic Arts has confirmed that the next instalment in the FIFA series, FIFA 08, will be released on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PS2, PSP, PC, DS and Mobile platforms this autumn.
The title marks the first in the series to appear on Sony and Nintendo’s latest home console, with the popular football player Ronaldinho set to appear on the games cover across the globe.
Further players have been confirmed to appear on the German version of the game, which features Miroslav Klose, with Sergio Ramos appearing on the Spanish version. Andreas Ivanschitz and Tranquillo Barnetta, meanwhile, are signed up to appear in the Austria and Switzerland versions respectively.
Currently, players are taking part in motion-capture sessions in Barcelona, with developer EA aiming to capture "the body movements, individual moves and playing style of each athlete".
"The access, guidance and insight they give us means that FIFA 08 will create a next gen experience that not only looks authentic, but that captures the emotion, finesse and beauty of the game," commented producer Joe Booth.
