Sega gave no indication as to why the Wii U is being passed over. Alien: Isolation is the second recent entry in the sci-fi series to skip the Wii U, following the Nintendo version of Aliens: Colonial Marines, which was canceled last year after poor reception for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions.
